No one can predict what challenges lie ahead for people with disabilities. By including Mays Mission for the Handicapped in your estate through a bequest, charitable trust, gift annuity, retirement assets or life insurance policy, you can be sure that Mays Mission will remain a resource and a place of opportunity and hope.

Bequest

To remember Mays Mission in your will, use the following language: "I give, devise, and bequeath all (or a percentage of) the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate to Mays Mission for the Handicapped, Inc., an Arkansas charitable organization, located at 604 Colonial Drive, Heber Springs, Arkansas."

How to Make a Gift that Provides Income to You

Three types of charitable arrangements (charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, and pooled income) allow you to make a gift to Mays Mission for the Handicapped and receive a lifetime income. The tax and financial advantages of these arrangements often result in enhancing your annual income. The best arrangement for you will depend on your age, the type of asset you wish to donate (e.g. cash, stock, real estate, or other property) and the size of your gift. Each gift entitles you to an immediate tax deduction for a portion of your gift's value.
Gifts of appreciated securities offer double tax benefits. Generally, you are entitled to deduct the full fair market value of your seurities, and you completely avoid capital gains tax.

*Note: Always consult your financial advisor regarding tax laws.
